She previously served as the Canada Executive Sponsor for Women of Cisco, an Inclusive Community whose purpose is to attract, develop, retain and celebrate talented women as part of a competitive and diverse workforce.

As President of Cisco Canada, Shannon proudly leads a diverse and innovative organization that consistently ranks among Cisco’s top markets globally and acts as a proving ground for some of the company’s most advanced and leading-edge technologies. Prior to leading Cisco Canada, Shannon held several leadership roles within Cisco. Most recently she oversaw the State/Local Government and Education Market (East) in Cisco’s U.S. Public Sector Organization as the Area Vice President based out of Washington, DC. In this role Shannon led initiatives to accelerate digital transformation of public sector organizations and help them navigate rapid technological change – including mobility, big data and analytics, IoT, and cloud and shared services – to better protect, serve and educate citizens. She also served in other public sector roles, where she aligned the customer mission with Cisco Solutions to solve some of the largest challenges in the Federal Civilian market. Throughout her career, Shannon has been a driving force for inclusion and diversity initiatives and is a champion of Cisco’s purpose to power an inclusive future for all. She currently serves as an Executive Sponsor for Cisco's Social Justice Actions and Beliefs and for Cisco’s Americas Inclusion & Collaboration Initiative – which is working to design, deliver and implement inclusive workforce practices in how we hire, develop and engage the full spectrum of talent diversity at Cisco. Shannon also serves as the Executive Sponsor for PRIDE LGBTQ+ & Allies Canada, a Cisco Inclusive Community dedicated to ensuring LGBTQ+ employees can bring their whole selves to work, be well and excel, and be part of a supportive and socially responsible community. She previously served as the Executive Sponsor for Women of Cisco Canada, a community whose purpose is to attract, develop, retain and celebrate talented women as part of a competitive and diverse workforce.

Prior to Cisco, Shannon held sales leadership roles at Toronto-based software company Platform Computing (now part of IBM) and Ernst and Young Technologies (EYT) leading the Asia Pacific technology division expansion strategy. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Government and Politics from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
