Vancouver Chapter - Navigating AI in the Cyber Landscape: Strengths, Limitations & Emerging Risks

September 17, 2026 (6:00 PM - 8:30 PM) (PDT)

Description

AI is rapidly reshaping both cybersecurity and the enterprise attack surface. As organizations adopt generative AI, AI agents, and new AI-enabled tools, security leaders need greater visibility, governance, and confidence around how these technologies are being used.

This session will explore how AI and machine learning are being applied in cybersecurity, their strengths and limitations, and how emerging risks such as Shadow AI, AI agents, prompt-based threats, and new AI-driven attack surfaces are changing the security landscape.

Attendees will gain insight into:

  • Common AI and machine learning techniques used in cybersecurity
  • The advantages and limitations of different AI approaches
  • Emerging risks associated with GenAI, AI agents, identities, prompts, and Shadow AI
  • How behavioral analysis can identify unexpected or risky AI activity
  • Key questions to ask vendors to build greater transparency and trust
  • How organizations can establish the visibility, governance, and control needed to securely adopt AI

With a strong foundation in behavioral security and Adaptive AI, deep enterprise visibility, and a focus on customer outcomes, Darktrace is helping organizations securely embrace AI and navigate this next wave with confidence.
