Toronto Chapter - Securing Unstructured Data in the Generative AI Era: Strategies for Risk Reduction

October 17, 2024 (6:00 PM - 9:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

The rise of generative AI brings unprecedented challenges to data security, particularly when it comes to unstructured data—files moving across different data sources and are often subject to oversharing. Generative AI changes the game by rapidly scanning and accessing every file, with no oversight, creating a new and more complex layer of risk. As we adopt AI technologies, understanding these risks is essential for ensuring that sensitive data remains protected.

Our panel of experts will share diverse perspectives from the forefront of privacy, security consulting, and compliance. In this discussion, top industry leaders will explore:

  • How organizations can safely manage unstructured data in the AI-driven landscape.
  • The nature of these new risks, how AI-driven data access transforms security dynamics.
  • Steps businesses must take to reduce the potential exposure of sensitive information.
  • The latest developments in AI-powered data scanning and hear real-world strategies for mitigating risk while leveraging AI’s full potential.
  • Practical solutions for managing unstructured data in this new era and ensuring your organization is ready to face the challenges posed by generative AI.

This session is essential for Canadian CISOs, CIOs, and other cybersecurity professionals who are focused on future-proofing their data security strategies.
