Dr. Peter Holowka, Director of Educational Technology, West Point Grey Academy in Vancouver, British Columbia

Dr. Peter Holowka is passionate about digital transformation and technology leadership, particularly in education.  His doctoral research was in cloud computing adoption and organizational leadership.  His professional work and academic research centre on the digital transformation journey, particularly the journey from legacy systems towards the cloud.  He has received multiple awards for leadership and academic excellence.  In 2020, he was recognized as Member of the Year by the Chief Information Officer Association of Canada, and currently serves as the Past President of the Vancouver Chapter.  Dr. Holowka recently worked with the BC Ministry of Education as a representative of the ISABC on emerging AI policies and best practices.  He is also a member of the senate for two of the theological colleges at the University of British Columbia.

Rita has over 25 years of experience in Digital Transformation, Data, and Innovation, in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors, comprising of the following industries: financial services, philanthropy, pensions, environment, entertainment, media, engineering, education, strategic and integrated consulting, and federal and provincial government. As a Board and Executive Digital Advisor, Rita is helping organizations embrace digital transformation and thrive in today's competitive landscape.

Wahid Mohammad, an active CIOCAN board member and CEO of PlektonLabs, has a rich IT industry background. His career highlights include developing enterprise integration solutions, tackling diverse IT challenges, and significantly influencing businesses across North America. His work, supported by numerous scientific journal publications, has facilitated the transition of businesses from outdated infrastructures to efficient digital ecosystems.

Away from his professional life, Wahid is a passionate backcountry hiker, reflecting his love for exploration and pushing boundaries. As a constant learner, Wahid finds a way to use technology's transformative potential to create a better world where everyone has access to the resources they need.
